Gone were the days when you had to drive a few kilometers to be able to reach a theater and watch a movie with your friends and family but Corona Pandemic has caused us a lot of things and without any doubt entertainment is one of them. It’s been months that people haven’t been able to step out of their homes and go watch a movie but somehow, they have been able to indulge themselves with movies and other similar stuff and kept themselves entertained as well. This is all because of the digitalization of cinema that now people are able to see their favorite movies and web series at their homes without spending too much money.
It has become possible because of the various streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar Disney Plus, MX Player and more. These platforms offer unlimited and watch worthy movies, award winning TV shows, documentaries and more on your device at a very low monthly price.
Like I said, you can stream thousands of movies and web series on these platforms but the question is how can you decide which one is really worth your time. Everyone has their own taste and they like to watch according to it but sometimes, you find something that is not of your taste but really worth your time. Believe me I’m saying this based on my experience as I have seen some of the best web series and movies on Netflix and Amazon, even on MX Player as well which I have found really entertaining, even though they were not really my type.
As we are focused on the best web series here, I have compiled a list of best web series available on Netflix, Amazon Prime and MX Player which are worth watching and keep you going all the time until you finish them. These are the hindi web series as I’ll talk about the best English Web Series in my other article later on. Please note that this list I created, is actually based on my personal experience and I guarantee that you will definitely enjoy all of them as well.

1. Ek thi Begum

You might find Ek Thi Begum a bit boring sometimes but the truth is that it’ll get your nerves going all the time if you keep on watching it without any doubt. Based on the Mumbai Underworld in late 1980, this is a story of a young widow, aimed to take revenge for her husband’s death who was killed by the combination of a corrupt police officer and a gangster.
Honestly, this is one of the best web series that MX Player has produced apart from the Bhaukaal, which shows the journey of a young woman and what she went through during her mission to kill the Underworld Don Makshood. The series is perfectly directed, edited and cinematography is perfect which gives you a sense of late 1980s. Although, you may wonder that most of the dialogues are in Marathi, not in Hindi but still it’s a must watch web series available on MX Player.
2. Bhaukaal

Based on the true events and the life of Navneet Sikera, the then SSP of the crime city of India, Muzaffarnagar in late 1990s, this is one of the best works of MX Player. A true crime drama which shows you the true face of the crime in Uttar Pradesh and how it was handled by a newly appointed SSP in the city.
The plot goes around the Naveen Sikera, a newly appointed SSP in Muzaffarnagar who was thrilled to see the crime rate in the city and wanted to rip that off. On a note, it is said that the real SSP Navneet Sikera did around 56 encounters in just one year and almost swept away the crime from the city before he was transferred to another place.
You will witness the same in this series, the real circumstances, the acting is good, the music is perfect and everything which makes it worth watching. Mohit Raina has portrayed the image of real SSP pretty well in this series which will keep you going on with it.
3. Panchayat

Well, this is one of my favorites and I think Panchayat is one of the best web series on Amazon Prime. The IMDb rating really does the justification with this series as it’ll tickle you a little, make you laugh a lot and make you realize why villages are called the heart of India.
Jitendra Kumar is amazing all the time but we cannot neglect the performance of others as well. Each and every character in this series is enjoyable and worth appreciating. The story roams around a young engineer who couldn’t get a job in an MNC but wound up in a government job in the form of a Gram Panchayat Sachiv. He has to go to a village and stay there for his job.
The real story begins when he starts meeting with the villagers and the incident happens to him. He wants to escape but situations wouldn’t allow him to do the same. And this keeps you entertained all the time. Some of the dialogues has become famous from this series as well. Go watch it if you haven’t yet.
4. Apharan

You know, I’m feeling really great as I’m suggesting you to watch these awesome web series. These are not just copy pasted from any other sources over the internet but I have personally watched all of these wonderful web series and based on my experience, I’m sharing them with you here.
Apharan, as the name states itself that its about kidnapping, but its much more than that and I probably have liked this one more than any other web series. The reason being is that, it has awesome story line, the great dialogues and last but not least, it’s been shot at my favorite place, Haridwar and Rishikesh.
The series roams around a kidnapping expert police officer who works as undercover but the table soon turns out for him as he became the reason of death of a minister and sent to the jail for 5 years. He lost his job due to this and start looking for a new job when he comes out of the jail. But nothing he finds interesting that could suit his ability so he took a contract of kidnapping a girl form a very rich father and the story begins form here.
Everyone has done a great job in this series, specially Arunoday Singh who has been wonderful all the way. Mahi Gill is also awesome and Varun Badola has played an immense role as well.
This is crime based story but you will definitely like the local regional language of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and the beautiful locations from Haridwar and Rishikesh are just bonus for you.
